What moves Worldcoin (WLD)

As of October 11, 2026. This page describes drivers that already have a public record, and dates that are already on a calendar. It is not investment advice. It does not say to buy, sell, or hold, and it does not forecast a price.

What typically drives the price

A daily unlock, not a cliff. Worldcoin (the project also uses the name World) launched WLD on July 24, 2023 with a cap of 10 billion. The published schedule releases tokens every day. There is no single cliff to circle. CoinGecko's markets pull at 14:20 UTC on October 11, 2026 reported circulating supply of about 3.81 billion.

A Bitrue write-up on August 24, 2026 of that schedule says the daily rate stepped down on July 24, 2026. The aggregate went from about 5.1 million WLD a day to about 2.9 million. In that table, the community allocation went from about 3.2 million a day to about 1.6 million, and the team-and-investor allocation went from about 1.9 million a day to about 1.3 million. July 24, 2026 is already past. The drip continues at the slower rate. Tokens becoming transferable each day is not a one-day sale.

Sign-up and regulatory headlines. Orb sign-ups and regulator statements have moved WLD before. This page does not list countries, and it does not state a current legal outcome. A tokenradar note says new airdrop cycles stopped on June 1, 2026, with people already inside a cycle able to finish it. That is a distribution change, not a supply cap change.

Leverage. WLD perpetual markets can force liquidations that extend a move. Funding and open interest are not alert types until that feed is connected.

How much it usually moves

From October 12, 2025 through October 11, 2026, CoinGecko's daily USD series for worldcoin-wld produced 364 close-to-close changes. The method is in README.md.

The median absolute move was 3.1%. The 90th percentile day was 9.8%. The price moved at least 5% on 119 days, at least 3% on 191 days, and at least 10% on 34 days. The largest close-to-close change in the window was 42.1%.

About 1 day in 3 cleared 5%. A fixed "5% up or down" rule fires on an ordinary day for WLD. The daily unlock is in the background of those days. It does not define which day was unusual. An unusual-move alert uses Worldcoin's own recent range.

A 5% move inside one hour is a different event from a 5% close-to-close day. This count does not measure the hourly case.

Example alerts

These are examples of wording. They are not recommendations, and they are not live prices. Terminal can run an unusual move, a percent move, a price level, or a volume spike. The note on an alert describes the move. It does not tell you what to do.

  1. Tell me when Worldcoin (WLD) moves more than usual within an hour.
  2. Tell me when WLD moves more than usual within 24 hours.
  3. Tell me when WLD's volume is at least 3 times its 20-day average.

An unusual-move alert waits 4 hours before it can fire again, unless you change that. A volume alert waits 1 hour by default.
