0. Honesty (read before you post)

We studied MCP gateways, permit slips, blast-radius cards, signed receipts, hosted proxies, and a Langfuse clone. We killed them. Permit.io already is the URL. Native IDE policy already exists. Nobody pays $19 for a sidecar the market gives away.

Loopcard is the leftover job that still has a screenshot: make the overnight agent bill into a card people will actually post. It is not a cost optimizer. It does not stop the loop. It does not sit in front of your tools. It is a pink square.

cryptobook.space is a preview domain. CryptoBook social is retired. The product name is Loopcard. Buy loopcard.ai / loopcard.app / getloopcard.com and move. Until then, say the domain is leftover. Do not pretend it is a crypto launch.

Free at launch. If we ever charge, it is for history and unwatermarked exports, and we will say so on a pricing page first.

Tone: Virtus. Short. Specific numbers. No “revolutionize.” No fake users. No “love your content.”

1. House rules

  1. One Show HN. Do not resubmit. Do not vote from extra accounts.
  2. Three Reddit posts, rewritten per sub, not copypasta. Read the sidebar the morning you post.
  3. Product Hunt after the card is already being screenshotted on X/Reddit. A cold PH launch of a PNG generator dies.
  4. Ten DMs, named people, one ask. Stop if they ignore you. No second “just bumping this.”
  5. Never paste someone else’s invoice. The $6,000 night is a re-creation of published 2026 reporting, labeled as such.
  6. Never claim we store nothing “because we said so” if you later add a server. Today: parse in the browser, no account, no API keys.
  7. Do not call this compliance, observability, an MCP gateway, or CryptoBook 2.0.
  8. If they prefer ccusage, SuperPenguin, or a spreadsheet — say so, and leave.

When not to post: the CSV parser is broken, the PNG download is broken, or you are about to argue with a mod. Fix the product or walk away.

Loopcard turns a Claude Code or Cursor usage export into a square bill card you can post.

I kept seeing overnight-agent invoices land as spreadsheet screenshots and terminal dumps. The vendor dashboard shows a total. It does not give you a card that says: this loop, this session, this much.

What it does:
- One-click demo of the published ~$6,000 Claude Code overnight (a re-creation from 2026 reporting, labeled, not anyone’s invoice)
- Optional drop of a usage CSV — parsed in the browser with FileReader. We do not upload the file and we do not ask for API keys
- Download a 1080² PNG or copy a caption

What it is not:
- Not an MCP gateway
- Not observability
- Not a cost optimizer and not a spend cap
- Not affiliated with Anthropic or Anysphere

We spent this month looking at MCP permit gateways, blast-radius scanners, and signed receipts as a SaaS. Demand is not there (Permit.io already ships the drop-in URL; native IDE policy already exists). We killed those ideas. The leftover job that still has a screenshot is the runaway bill.

The site is currently a preview on cryptobook.space — leftover domain from a retired social product. Product name is Loopcard (Virtus Labs). A clean domain is next.

Free. No account. If we ever charge, it will be for history / unwatermarked exports, and it will be on a pricing page before we take a card.

Happy to hear “just use ccusage” — that CLI is better accounting. This is the mugshot you send to the person who pays the bill.

3. Reddit (full posts)

Post once per sub. Different titles. Different first paragraph. Attach loopcard.png (the demo card) on every post that allows images. Disclose: you made it. Flair: “Showcase” / “Resource” / whatever the sidebar says. If the sub forbids self-promo, do not post.

Do not mention Product Hunt. Do not ask for upvotes. Stay in the thread for 24 hours.

3.1 r/ClaudeAI

Title:

I got tired of posting Claude Code bills as CSV screenshots, so I made a card (browser-only, no keys)

Body:

The overnight Claude Code story is now a genre. ~$6k in published 2026 reporting. Smaller versions of it in every Discord I am in.

Loopcard is a shareable bill card for that moment.

Context, because I will get asked: we looked at building an MCP gateway / “permission slip” for agents and killed it. Permit.io and Claude’s own always_ask / spend caps already do that job. The leftover screenshot job is this card.

If ccusage already covers you, keep using it. This is for the timeline, not for accounting.

3.2 r/cursor

Title:

Shareable Cursor / Claude bill card – drop a usage export, get a PNG, file never leaves the browser

Cursor’s own dashboard already tells you the total. What it does not give you is a card you can drop in Slack or on X that a non-engineer will actually look at.

I made Loopcard for that.

How it works:

The $6k figure on the demo is the published Claude Code overnight, labeled as a re-creation. There is also the public $1,263 Cursor-month story from HN this year — same genre, different vendor. Loopcard does not stop the runaway. Cursor’s spend limit does. This is the mugshot after.

Not a Cursor competitor. Not a usage proxy. Not an MCP gateway. We studied those and killed them; the market already has Permit.io and native allowlists.

Steal the PNG if it is useful. Tell me if the CSV headers from a current Cursor export do not parse — I will fix the column sniff, I will not ask for your key.

3.3 r/LocalLLaMA

Title:

Not a local model tool – a browser-only bill card for the cloud invoice you still get next to llama.cpp

This sub is not the customer for another cloud SaaS. I am posting anyway because a lot of people here still have an Anthropic / OpenRouter / Cursor line item sitting next to the local box, and the screenshot of that line item is ugly.

What it is not: a local LLM, a llama.cpp wrapper, an MCP gateway, or a reason to stop running local. We looked at MCP gateways as a product this month and killed them. This is the leftover screenshot.

If this is off-topic, I will remove it. If the parser is useful on OpenRouter / Anthropic CSVs, tell me which headers you actually export.

If a mod removes it: thank them, do not argue in modmail beyond one sentence (“understood, won’t crosspost”). Do not repost.

4. Expected skeptical comments — honest replies

Paste these. Do not get funnier than the product. Do not pile on. One reply per comment unless they ask a follow-up.

“Just use ccusage.” ccusage is the right tool if you want a terminal total. Loopcard is the PNG you post. Different job. If you already have the CLI, keep it — we even say that on the page.
“This is a screenshot app.” Yes. That is the product. The vendor dashboard is a total. A CSV is a spreadsheet. This is the mugshot. We are not pretending it is a platform.
“Why is this on cryptobook.space? Is this a crypto thing?” Leftover domain. CryptoBook social is retired. Preview only, until we point loopcard.ai / .app here. No token, no airdrop, no coin. Virtus Labs. Sorry about the name — it is the honest reason we will pay for DNS.
“The $6,000 number is fake / ragebait.” It is a re-creation of published 2026 reporting, labeled on the card as such. It is not our invoice and not a scrape of anyone’s Anthropic account. Click “Show the $6,000 night” and you will see the source line. Drop your own export if you want your number.
“Just screenshot the Anthropic / Cursor dashboard.” You can. People do. The card is for when you want a square that is readable at phone width and does not include the rest of the console. If a crop of the dashboard is enough, do that.
“You want $19/mo for a PNG?” Not today. Free at launch. If we ever charge, it is for history and unwatermarked exports, and it will be written on a pricing page before we take a card. A lot of one-shot viral tools never earn $19. We know that.
“Is this an MCP gateway / permit layer / ‘agent security’?” No. We studied that category this month and killed it. Permit.io already is the drop-in URL. Cursor/Claude already have allowlists and spend caps. We do not proxy MCP, we do not hold keys, we do not sit on the tool path.
“Do you upload my CSV?” No. FileReader in the browser, cost-column sniff, then we paint a canvas. If a row looks like a key, it never should have been in a usage export — we do not send the file to a server. Theme preference is the only localStorage key.
“This is just CSS / canvas. I could build it in an afternoon.” You could. The job is the shareable object, not the renderer. If you OSS a better card, we will link it.
“Who is Virtus Labs?” The company on virtusblockchainlabs.com. This is not a stealth AI lab and not a new Delaware entity we invented for the launch. One VPS. US-oriented, 18+.
“Does this stop the runaway loop?” No. Cursor spend limits and Claude caps stop it. We show the bill after. If someone markets Loopcard as a kill switch, they are wrong — tell us so we can correct it.
“Uber burned a year of AI budget in four months. Will this have saved them?” No. That is a finance and vendor-cap problem. A card would only have made the number easier to forward. We will not claim we would have saved Uber money.
“SuperPenguin already does spend.” SuperPenguin is a real spend product (Mac/team, paid tiers). Use it if you need attribution. Loopcard is the public card, not the ledger.
“r/LocalLLaMA does not need this.” Fair. It is for the cloud invoice some of you still have next to the local box. If the post is noise, I will take it down.
“Show HN is supposed to be technically interesting.” Agree it is a small thing. The technically honest parts: no server for the file, no keys, labeled demo data, and we killed the larger (worse) product. If that is not enough for Show HN, flag it.
“Are you scraping Anthropic?” No. CFAA is not a joke we want to test. CSV you already exported, or the public demo. We will not ask for a session cookie.
“Self-promo / spam.” I made it, I said so, I will answer questions. If that violates the sub, remove it.
“Can you add my team SSO / Langfuse / traces?” That is a different product, and the traces market is Langfuse. We are not building it.
“Source code?” The page is static HTML/JS — view-source is the source. A proper repo can come later. We are not charging for the parser.

Do not reply at all to: crypto-pump bait, “when moon,” fake SOC 2 dares, or anyone asking you to paste a private invoice.

5. Product Hunt — maker comment

Do not launch PH the same day as Show HN. Wait until at least a few unprompted cards exist on X or Reddit. Cold PH for a screenshot tool is how you get 12 upvotes and a graveyard page.
