How do I set an alert on a world event?
Open New alert. Under Rule, choose World event and a move. Under World event, pick a type. If you leave it empty, the screen says Pick a world event.
The list is the types this account can use. It includes Central bank rate decision, US CPI release, US jobs report, US PPI release (producer prices), US unemployment rate release, US GDP release (first estimate), US core PCE release, Gold sets a new high, Gold moves 2% in a day, US bank failure (FDIC), Presidential document on tariffs, sanctions or digital assets, SEC press release on crypto, CFTC press release on crypto, US sanctions action naming crypto (OFAC), Severe weather warning (NWS), and Status page post. It also includes Burst of news on geopolitics, Burst of news on banks, Burst of news on real estate, and Burst of news on politics. A rate decision offers Fed or ECB together, Fed alone, or ECB alone.
You also set the coin, how far it moves, the direction, and the window. The alert fires when an event of that type happens and the coin moves that far inside the window. It describes what happened. It does not say the event caused the move.
Recorded events are on World. That page says Terminal records what happened at the same time. It does not say an event caused a move, and it does not forecast.
