What alert types can I use?

You can create these kinds of price alert:

  • Price above. The last price goes above a level you set. After it fires, it can fire again once a check finds the price about 1% below that level.
  • Price below. The same, in the other direction.
  • Percent move. The price rises or falls by a percent you set, inside a window of 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, or 24 hours.
  • Volume spike. Volume is at least 2×, 3×, 5×, or 10× the 20-day average.
  • Unusual move. The move is large compared with how much that coin has been moving. The builder shows the percent that means today.

You can also turn on a morning brief at a time you choose. The default is 8:00 AM in your time zone. You set that on Alerts and quiet hours.

Each alert has a wait before it can fire again. The default is 1 hour. Unusual move defaults to 4 hours. The waits you can pick are 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours, or 7 days.

On Trader and Pro you can also alert on a coin's funding rate or open interest. See Funding and open-interest alerts. Index alerts are not available yet.

On Free, checks run about every 5 minutes, so a 15-minute window can miss a move between checks. Trader is checked about every minute. Pro is checked about every 15 seconds. A short window can still miss a move between checks.
