Paid plans and credit packs are not open yet. Free works today. This page shows how they will work.

Credits

Credits are a prepaid balance you spend at Terminal. This page explains how to buy them, what they pay for and the limit on a balance.

What credits are

Credits are shown in dollars and cents. They pay for things beyond your plan, and for paid events in the marketplace.

Credits spend only at Terminal. They are not cash, and we do not cash out a balance that is left.

Buy credits

Buy a pack in Plan and billing, or choose Add credits in Wallet. A pack is a single charge. It does not renew.

What spends credits

  • Why notes: a why note beyond your plan's monthly notes costs 5¢.
  • Model use past your plan's monthly share: each paid plan includes model use worth part of its price each month. Plan and billing shows how much is used. Past it, a why note you ask for costs 5¢ and an Ask message 5¢. Alerts and receipts never spend credits.
  • API calls: calls beyond your plan's allowance cost 10¢ for each block of 1,000 calls. Previews cost 2¢ and explanations 5¢ each beyond the allowance.
  • Marketplace events: each event a paid service delivers to you costs its price per event. See Marketplace for buyers.
  • Listing fees: listing a service costs $5 for 30 days. See Marketplace for sellers.

Wallet lists every change to your credits.

Balance limit

A credit balance can hold up to $500. A pack that would take you past it is refused before you pay. Spend some credits first, then add more.

Moving marketplace earnings into credits stops at the limit too. The rest stays in your earnings.

Refunds

Spent credits are not refunded. Read Refunds and cancellation for when we refund a pack, such as a double charge.

Marketplace charges still on hold return to your credits when you report a subscription. See Refunds and reports.
