The marketplace is built and not open yet. It opens to a few accounts at a time, after a lawyer's written answers. This page shows how it will work.
Marketplace for sellers
You can turn alerts you already run into a service that others subscribe to. This page covers the rules, the price and fee, and what subscribers see before they subscribe.
Who can sell
You can sell on any plan when:
- your email address is confirmed,
- your account is at least 14 days old,
- you have a seller profile. Create it in Your seller profile in the Seller studio.
Each service runs 1 to 20 of your alerts. Each alert watches one coin, is on, and waits at least 15 minutes before it can fire again.
Each alert is a Price above, Price below, Percent move, Volume spike or Unusual move alert. An alert can back only one service.
A profile can have up to 5 services that are not retired.
New service
In the Seller studio, choose List a new service. The new service screen has four steps:
- Pick alerts: choose the alerts the service runs.
- Describe: give the service a Name, a Short name and a Description. The text check runs as you type (see Wording).
- Price: make it Free, or set a Price per event.
- Review: check how the service card will look, confirm the alerts are yours to offer, then choose Start recording.
The record starts when you create the service. Only you can see it until the service is listed.
You can list the service once all of these are true:
- it has at least 20 events whose price one day later is recorded,
- at least 14 days have passed since recording started,
- the event numbers run from the first event with no gap,
- your email address is confirmed,
- your account is at least 14 days old,
- every alert in the service is on.
Listing is not automatic. The Before you can list checklist in the Seller studio shows each item. When every item is ticked, choose List. Listing costs $5 in credits for 30 days, and the fee is charged when you choose List.
While a service is not retired, its alerts are locked. You can change where they send and mute them. You cannot change their conditions, pause them or delete them.
Why a service is not listed yet
A service stays off the catalogue until every item on the Before you can list checklist is ticked and you choose List. Nothing lists on its own.
Listing also needs the fee in your credits. Per-event pricing says where credits come from.
Per-event pricing
A service is free, or it charges a price for each event delivered to a subscriber.
- The price runs from 5¢ to $1 per event, in steps of 5¢.
- Terminal keeps a fee of 20% of each paid event. You keep the rest.
- Subscribers pay in credits, up to the monthly caps they set.
For example: at $1 per event, you keep the price minus the 20% fee. The price screen shows the exact split for the price you pick.
Listing costs $5 in credits for 30 days. Nothing is charged while the record builds. The fee is charged when you list the service, then again for each new period while it stays listed. If your credits cannot cover a renewal, the service goes off the catalogue until you list it again. You need the credits before you choose List. Credit packs open with paid plans, and Plans says whether they are open. Until then, credits come only from moving the earnings of a listed service, so a first listing waits for credit packs.
Earnings
Your share of each paid event goes to your earnings. It stays on hold for 7 days, then becomes available.
In Wallet, under Earnings, choose Move to credits to add available earnings to the credits you spend at Terminal. Earnings are not paid out as cash. A move stops at the credit balance limit, and the rest stays in earnings.
Records
Every service keeps a public, numbered record. For each event it shows the coin, the price when the event fired, and a receipt. The receipt shows what the price did an hour, four hours, a day and a week later.
Subscribers and other visitors see an event 24 hours after it fires. Subscribers also see the events they received at once. You see every event at once.
Records cannot be edited:
- The record starts when you create the service, and nothing from before is imported.
- No event is removed or changed after it fires.
- A retired service's record stays public.
The record shows a status: Recording, Complete record or Incomplete record. Subscribers also see counts from Terminal's own records, such as subscribers and repeat buyers.
Changing your offer
Choose Edit price to change the price. You can change it once every 7 days.
- A lower price applies to current subscribers when you save it.
- A higher price applies after 30 days, unless a subscriber accepts it sooner. A subscriber who does not accept it ends on that date.
- Going from free to paid counts as a higher price.
Choose Edit name and description to change the text. The same text check runs again. Your service's conditions never change.
Wording
A name or description says what the alerts watch. It never promises results, and it never tells anyone what to trade. The text check refuses:
- trading words, such as words about buying, selling, targets or profits,
- claims that tie a number to a word like win, accurate or earned,
- links, email addresses, handles and chat invites,
- words that mix letters from different alphabets.
The same check runs on your profile's Name and Bio. The check refuses these words and phrases, in any case:

A name that passes: "BTC range watch". A description that passes: "An event when Bitcoin (BTC) moves past three times its usual one-hour range."
Reports and removal
A subscriber can report a subscription. A report ends that subscription. The subscriber gets back charges still on hold, and your earnings from those charges are reversed.
Terminal reviews every report. Terminal can take a service off the catalogue, retire it, or suspend a seller profile.
You can also act yourself:
- Take off the catalogue stops new subscriptions. Current subscribers keep receiving events.
- Retire is final. Subscriptions end, and the record stays public.
